I have been researching work at home job sites since 1991. At that time Prodigy and Compuserve were the only 2 sites you could subscribe to gaining access to the world wide web. My first work at home job was a $5.00 booklet showing all the businesses in my area. I was to call each of them and ask if they needed someone to type for them at home. Through trial and error, I have compiled many work at home sites that I believe will post jobs from legitimate companies that need to hire serious minded people who want to work at home. BUT!!!! The one work at home job, I think, gives the most problems is: DATA ENTRY. Data entry consists of alphanumeric skills, accuracy, and speed. Data entry services all types of needs. Whether it is forms processing, database data entry, document conversions, time-sensitive data entry services, insurance forms, or many different services for data entry and verification, you will be typing alphanumeric. Here are a few of the jobs I did:
- clients lists, mailing lists, members lists, petitions, surveys, and other material.
- rebates, recalls, surveys, comment cards, other promotional material
- account papers, mailings, client information, delinquent and paid up accounts
- mailing lists, of names and address: catalog data in an organized matter
- names and addresses, clients list and hand address envelopes
- bank and pension statements
- medical forms, insurance forms, records, and billing information
- Many different insurance forms, also clients lists and information
The company I worked at tested you ONLY on speed. They had more experience employees that would check our work for accuracy.
